- During my Senior year in high school, I signed up to join The United States Navy after graduation. I was only 17 at the time so I had to get my mother and father's consent in writing. I graduated May of 98. I stayed home one last summer before it was time for me to ship out to Bootcamp which was in Great Lakes,IL for 13 weeks. I was very happy with the decision that I made to serve my country.
I decided to dedicate this Blog to my time spent in the U.S. Navy. I enjoyed my years in the Millitary. In many ways, it helped me to grow as a person.

After leaving Gulfport, Ms, I was transferred to the Naval Air Station in Mayport, Fl. (NAS Mayport) where I was assigned to a ship for my last two years. USS The Sullivans DDG-68. I enjoyed my stay on the ship. From time to time I was a little homesick, whenever we went out to sea, but I learned to deal with it. I have a lot of memories from USS The Sullivans, some bad but mostly good.
